Welcome to my practice – a place where your well-being takes center stage. With over two decades of experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals just like you find their path to emotional wellness and resilience.
Having direct clinical experience since 1995, I've worked in California and South Africa, in a diverse range of settings including private practices and student counseling centers, non-profit organizations, and community health clinics. As an adjunct professor at the California School of Psychology at Alliant International University, I've provided clinical guidance and taught graduate-level classes to future psychologists in the doctoral program.
My academic journey has paved the way for a deep understanding of the human psyche. Achieving my Doctorate of Psychology (Psy.D.) 1998 from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP), I fortified my knowledge with an APA-approved internship at UC Santa Cruz's Counseling and Psychological Services Center. Alongside, I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, complemented by two bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Philosophy.
I strive to remain current with the latest developments in the field through continuous education, case consultation groups, immersive readings, and engaging conferences. This allows me to offer you the most effective and up-to-date treatments available.
My therapeutic approach consists of evidence-backed methodologies that incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Attachment Theory, evolutionary psychology, and systems theory. In addition, I seamlessly weave in attention training and mindfulness practices to augment the treatment.
Specializing in anxiety, stress, burnout, panic, phobias, and healing from adverse childhood experiences, I'm here to guide you through the labyrinth of life's tribulations. Whether it's navigating the complexities of work, finding equilibrium at home, or fostering meaningful relationships, I am here to help.
Many of my clients work in the fast-paced world of technology, science, and law firms. I understand the pressures inherent in these high-stress careers, and my strategies can help you optimize for success as defined by you.
